My guest was Jeff Morgan, wine writer, author, and winemaker.
We'll be telling you all about Jeff's book Rosé, A Guide to The World’s Most Versatile Wine.

From Chronicle, this is the world’s first book dedicated exclusively to dry rosé. It tells the history of rosé, from its origins in the Mediterranean wine regions, and then takes the reader on a tour of the many countries where rosé is made today. The book raises the bar for this rising star wine category and features over 200 still and sparkling pink wines from around the world with recipes to match. Available at major bookstores, such as Amazon.com, as well as wine shops throughout America.

Then, we'll be tasting Jeff and partner/winemaker Daniel Moore's 2004 SoloRosa. A well-crafted rosé has little in common with the ubiquitous sweet white zinfandels that most dry-wine drinking aficionados avoid. A really good rosé, like the ones consumed on the Cote d’Azur in France or at swanky resorts in St. Bart’s, can be chillingly refreshing and filled with seductive fruit flavor.  Great any time of year!
