2005 Baltos Mencia from Bierzo D.O.

A deep red claret color with violet hue towards the rim.  Powerful nose with ripe red fruit, and hint of violets and minerals.  Fresh, elegant and clean, delicious with plenty of varietal flavors on the palate.  Sweet tannins and refreshing but integrated acidity.

100% Mencia, a unique grape variety from the Bierzo region near Leon Spain.
