2002 Rombauer Zinfandel

This is yet another great Zin from Rombauer!  In the past most of the fruit was from the El Dorado Vineyard and the label showed that.  The 2002 has some fruit from El Dorado but also vineyards in Amador and Lake Counties, hence the loss of El Dorado from the front label.

Rombauer Vineyards' 2002 Zinfandel has a lush, aromatic medley of ripe blackberries, boysenberries, and raspberries in the aroma along with notes of pepper and spice.

The wine is full flavored with an abundance of fresh, dark berry fruit and hints of currants. There is a long finish to the wine that continues to reveal subtle berry fruit nuances. It drinks well now but will improve with several years of age.
